Se você costuma se envolver com homens que não lhe tratam bem nem lhe fazem bem, é provável que você precise resolver alguns problemas relacionados com a sua autoestima.
Muitas mulheres se identificam de imediato com essa situação. Elas sabem que não se dão o devido valor e estão cansadas de relacionamentos destrutivos, vazios e que só trazem sofrimento. Sentem-se prontas para melhorar a maneira como olham para si mesmas, o que já é um bom começo.
Por outro lado, algumas estão igualmente fartas de aceitar relacionamentos insatisfatórios, mas não acreditam que sua autoestima tenha algo a ver com isso.
Elas dizem coisas como: “Gosto de mim mesma, mas atraio os parceiros errados.” “O problema não é o que eu penso sobre mim, mas o que o André pensa sobre mim.” Ou ainda “A questão não é a minha autoestima e sim a dele, André precisa melhorar a maneira como vê a si mesmo para, então, ser capaz de apreciar uma mulher que se importa com ele.”
Nós compreendemos o porquê dessas reações, mas gostaríamos que as deixasse de lado até aprender o significado da autoestima e descobrir de que maneira ela influencia seus relacionamentos.
Mas afinal, o que é autoestima?
Segundo o dicionário, a palavra “estima” significa respeito e admiração. Sendo assim, autoestima significa auto respeito e auto aceitação. Uma mulher com autoestima elevada valoriza a pessoa preciosa que ela é. Por isso, tende a atrair bons parceiros e a evitar homens que façam mal a ela.
Já uma mulher com baixa autoestima parece ter um imã interior que atrai sujeitos problemáticos; esse imã conduz seu navio sentimental sempre na direção errada. Quando gosta de um homem ela presta mais atenção nas necessidades dele do que nas dela. E logo perde a capacidade de perceber quem ela é e o que deseja da vida.
A baixa autoestima obscurece seu discernimento, tornando-a suscetível às falsas promessas dos aproveitadores de plantão.
A baixa autoestima consegue transformar até a mulher mais independente em alguém que parece carente. E nem preciso lembrar o poder que a carência tem de afastar boas companhias.
